Origin of ZRTours Golf Clubs

After a trip up the Alaska hwy I had this brilliant idea of taking
a motorcycle trip through the Yukon. As I was planning the trip
I found there were a number of golf courses in the Yukon. So
it hit me a motorcycle golf trip of the Yukon.

However past experience taught me that carrying a full set of
golf clubs on a motorcycle can be done but rarely easily or
safely. I tried a number of possible bags and mounting
options with only limited success and some that proved a bit
hazardous, until I found a telescopic golf club that had an
adjustable loft head. It worked well  enough to play 18 holes
with only 1 club and packed small.

Problem was getting a steady supply of these clubs.  Did not
want to travel a long ways and have a club break with no
spare. So I looked at making my own but with regular heads.
Now I have  clubs that travel and are legal.

I could have used rental clubs. Rental clubs are OK, but as
anyone that golfs knowns consistent  good shots is what
leads to low scores. Consistency requires using clubs that
are familiar, giving a  known result for each shot. That is the
main advantage of using the collapsible golf clubs instead of
rentals. There is also the issue of some of the more out of the
way courses don't have rentals.
